Jo Koy recalls the the time he lived in Las Vegas putting on his own comedy shows and handling every aspect from theatre rental to slicing the tickets at Kinko’s. He also talks about his early days in Los Angeles working three different day jobs while performing stand-up comedy at night. Before the end of the show, Jo explains the importance of helping others become successful and paying forward the support that aided his career.
Plain White T’s | Rock Band and Label Founders
Plain White T’s (Tom Higgenson, Tim Lopez, and Mike Redondo) join the show to recall some of their early jobs including working as a Sam Goody employee, loading UPS trucks, and being a Subway sandwich artist. They also explain why they decided to start their own label and put out their incredible new album, American Nights, independently.
Paul Mecurio | Comedian, Former Wall Street Investment Banker and Lawyer
Paul Mecurio tells his unique story of leaving a six-figure job on Wall Street to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian. He recalls sneaking away from work to perform at dive bars, writing jokes during conference meetings, and adapting to the lifestyle changes that came with his decisions. And most importantly, he talks about dealing with the fears and doubts that plagued him during the transition from leaving a life that made him money to one that makes him happy.

William Spencer | Stuntman, Skateboarder, Spider-Man
William Spencer joins the show to trace his journey to becoming a stuntman in Hollywood and one of the most original skateboarders in the world. He talks about being influenced by Jackie Chan and Buster Keaton and landing the gig as Andrew Garfield’s stunt double in the latest Spider-Man movies. And of course he recalls some of his former jobs such as making pet caskets, pulling weeds in raw sewage, and teaching 7th grade P.E.

A.J. McLean and Jordan Omley are on the show to discuss the Live Together Foundation and growing up in the music industry. A.J. recalls his early childhood as an entertainer and the beginnings of the Backstreet Boys- back when they performed at malls and pet shops under the wing of Lou Pearlman. Jordan also talks about being a young rapper discovered by Sir Mix-A-Lot, touring as a teen, and making the transition from hip-hop artist to pop songwriter. We also examine their process of creating a record and what life is like in the studio.
